Experience mountain tradition and history, handicraft and agricultural work, as well as ecology right up close in beautiful natural surroundings. Quaintly embedded between hilly meadows and fields, you will find original mountain homes disassembled from their original site and lovingly restored in the open-air museum.
Whether farm, ropery or blacksmiths - you can see everything and get involved yourself. And in between, relaxing strolls through the charming natural surroundings will be tempting. Watch a farmer working the field with a plough - as he did then - or settle down in the grass for a picnic.
The museum restaurant "Lingenbacher Hof" also offers traditional and regional dishes in a cosy atmosphere with a great beer garden. A stroller can be borrowed at the entrance for the little ones.

Our tip: Take your time for the big open-air museum. At the museum restaurant, you will find a selection of dishes from the Bergisch region, as well as a number of good restaurants in Lindlar when on an outing.
